Hey Everyone!!
Week two is now in the books and things have been great! Ive been teaching lessons in Spanish almost everyday and I´m getting a lot more fluent in the language. For the most part I do a lot of the teaching in our practice lessons because my companion has been struggling with the language, but I know that he can learn it and he has come a long way.
For the most part my schedule is the same everyday: I wake upin the morning at about 6:15 and study my Spanish Scriptures for about thirty minutes after showering. I then have personal study in the Institute building from 7:10 until 8:00. After that I go and work out for about an hour with all the other missionaries at a park about half a mile away from the CCM. After that a lot of my day is classes that teach me how to speak better Spanish and teach the Gospel more effectively.
The most interesting part of the week was influenza being spread around the CCM. About seven missionaries and two teachers got sick and one of the missionaries was our District Leader Elder Peterson, who speraks the best Spanish in our District. For the two days that he was sick I was chosen to fill in as the District Leader and got to attend a Zone meeting with all the other DLs. They only spoke Spanish so I was kind of confused for some of the meeting but I think I got all of our zones assignments because we weren´t told that we forgot anything haha. Fortunately our DL is back to full and I now can focus on learning the language better becoming the best missionary that I can by serving with all my heart.
